Little Eden receives donation of warmth and protection

“We hope to bring warmth and certified protection so more of the community can breathe freely this winter.”

Little Eden Society recently received a donation of 67 Covid-19 protective shirts for Mandela Day.

The society received the donations from Andrew King, an Edenvale business owner and creator of the shirts.

Andrew and his team designed and produced the Pure-Air™ Covid-19 Protective Shirts, which he hopes will slow the spread of Covid-19.

When the NEWS interviewed Andrew in 2020, he explained that as the product becomes more established, he hopes to expand his charity work.

Andrew’s tattoo business based in Edenglen has allowed him to form a deep connection with the community and particularly with Little Eden and the work it does.

Last year, Andrew donated 67 protective shirts and hopes to continue the goodwill by donating another 67 to the staff and residents.

“We donated to help offer Covid-19 protection to some of the residents of the Little Eden community. This year, we aim to do the same,” said Andrew.

“We hope to bring warmth and certified protection so more of the community can breathe freely this winter.”

The protective shirt can be worn as an outer garment or as a vest, layered underneath your clothing.

The mouth-covering part can easily be pulled up over the face to offer government-aligned standard protection against the virus – or dropped back down to the neck without becoming a hindrance.

Besides the standard protection, a medical-grade ISO14664 protective filter can be inserted into the mouth, covering part of the shirt and used in high-risk situations
