Dragons excel at nationals

Dragons swimmers participated in the SA Short Course Nationals last month, where they excelled.
The club placed sixth overall, second in Aquatics Gauteng and first in Eastern Gauteng Aquatics.
Cornelle Leach, who narrowly missed out on the Paralympics, broke six SA records and swam a few unofficial World Championship qualifying times.

Jordan Lotter, who recently overcame an injury and has also been preparing for the SACS Water Polo Tournament, achieved seven personal bests (PBs) and three B finals.
Luke Sproule, who is balancing Cambridge (sixth form) and training, achieved four PBs and one A final.
Theo Verster, head coach of Dragons, described the swimming as unreal.
“Your sheer will and determination is incredible and you held the Dragons name high,” said Verster.
“The Dragons family is extremely proud of you.”
