Dowerglen potholes a concern

“I first noticed the potholes a while ago but you can talk about it until you are blue in the face so this time, I decided not to leave it and reported it to the municipality,” said Lurie.

Lurie, who has lived in Edenvale for the past six years, said Edenvale is a nice town to live in; however, he highlighted more needs to be done to repair potholes.

He also identified several potholes on Linksfield Road. yet it seems they have been repaired in the meantime.

“I first noticed the potholes a while ago but you can talk about it until you are blue in the face so this time I decided not to leave it and reported it to the municipality,” said Lurie.

He believes the municipality’s response to the pothole problem has been poor.

Lurie said although he has seen potholes being repaired with patches, he believes this method is inadequate.

“As soon as a heavy rainstorm comes, it washes the repair work away.”

Lurie said over several years, he and his wife had to replace their car tyres four times.

“I’m worried that one day we will have to replace a rim.”
