Hurlyvale Primary School learners donate to KZN flood victims

The learners and teachers donated clothing, blankets, maize meal and more.

With the recent floods in KwaZulu-Natal, the Salvation Army has been hard at work to bring much-needed relief and practical assistance to many of those affected.

Teachers and learners at Hurlyvale Primary School partnered with the Salvation Army to offer additional assistance.

The learners and teachers donated clothing, blankets, maize meal and more.

The donated items were handed over to the Salvation Army’s representative captain, Juanita Wright, last week.

The goods and donations received will be taken to KZN and distributed from the respective Salvation Army centres, where relieve work is taking place.

The Salvation Army thanked the teachers and staff at Hurlyvale Primary for joining in on the social relief drive for those effected by the floods in KZN.

Captain Velani Buthelezi, PR secretary for the Southern African Territory, has appealed to the public to assist by making contributions to the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal.

The goods and donations received will be taken to KwaZulu-Natal region and distributed from the respective Salvation Army centres where relief work is taking place.
