Mandela Day warmth given at local care centre
On July 18 a group of the learners, many from St Vincent School for the Deaf, visited MODA and Thembalami to present the donation.
Residents from Rand Aid’s Thembalami Care Centre and Max Ordman Deaf Association (MODA) received snooze scarfs from Prestige Clothing.

The residents received the scarves from the manufacturing arm of The Foschini Group for Nelson Mandela Day.
The company wanted to give back and assist organisations that cater for the hearing impaired by donating snooze scarfs to residents.
On July 18, a group of the learners, many from St Vincent School for the Deaf, visited MODA and Thembalami to present the donation.
On the day the learners sang with the residents and handed out 130 snooze scarfs.
The scarves were greatly appreciated by all.
