The unveiling on October 1 was celebrated with a lunch for residents at the village’s community centre.

Although the community centre was constructed in 2015, there was no permanent braai facility.

Jackie Welch, of the village, said the new facility boasts a built-in gas braai which can easily cater for all functions.
