Nicol Road was closed due to sagging of the road surface.

According to the city of Ekurhuleni the road was closed for the safety of road users.

City spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said while the road is closed off the city’s technicians will establish the cause and severity of the damage before commencing with repairs.

Motorists were advised to use alternative routes.
