The special event raises funds for the organisation, additionally creating a platform for community members to purchase affordable Christmas gifts for their children.
“We believe every child deserves a magical Christmas, filled with joy, wonder, and the delight of unwrapping a special present,” said marketing and media liaison Jonquil Siepman.
“However, we also recognise that not all families have the means to provide expensive toys for their little ones.”
As such, Hospice’s Santa Toy Fair has become an annual tradition.
Jonquil said it brings smiles to countless faces and ensures that children don’t go without a gift while parents don’t have to worry about unnecessarily high costs over the holiday season.
To help make this possible, the organisation reached out to the community.

“We’d appreciate your support by donating any unwanted or gently used toys, games, and children’s books that are in good condition,” said Jonquil.
“Your generous contributions will go a long way in brightening the lives of children in our community.”
To donate, deliver items at Hospice East Rand’s offices located at 218 Kempston Avenue Benoni.
Donations for the fair must be marked Toy Collection.

“Let’s make a difference together and spread the magic of Christmas to all children in our community.”
