Executive Mayor of Ekurhuleni wishes learners well for final exams

The much anticipated, tense, and exciting time of the year has arrived for Grade 12 learners.
The month of October marks a critical period for these young people as they begin their final examinations, marking the end of years of schooling.
“I would like to wish all the learners luck in writing their end-of-year examinations, especially the matriculants,” said the City of Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana.

He said this final assessment for this group of pupils marks the end of one huge chapter of their schooling life and the beginning of a new era.
“Twelve years of primary education is a long time and it’s a blessing to see them sticking it out till the end.
“We know there are many young people who get held back by life’s challenges and never reach the matric level.
“I would like to wish all those who will be sitting for their Grade 12 final exams this year all the very best and I hope that they continue doing those last-minute brush-up preparations,” said Ngodwana.
He added that the office of the executive mayor hopes this year’s final matric examinations spanning from October to December will be conducted smoothly and without any glitches.
