Police bust man with unlicensed firearm in Bedfordview
The police caught a man with an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The Benoni SAPS arrested a person for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition on the corner of Viscount and Bradford roads on March 10.
“The Benoni SAPS members were on duty in the Ekurhuleni area.
“While patrolling around Bedfordview, they spotted a silver Suzuki, which a member in a state vehicle stopped using his blue lights and siren.

“The member and his crew approached the vehicle and ordered the occupants to get out,” said Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Lillian Modiga.
She said the police searched the occupants and found the firearm without a holster.
“The sergeant asked if he had a license for this firearm, the suspect said he did not have one. After making the gun safe, he noticed the serial number was filed off.
“In the magazine were eight 9mm live bullets,” she said.
The suspect was detained at the Bedfordview SAPS.
