Shoot-out reported in the Kensington/Bedfordview area

Public advised to avoid crime scene involving a shoot-out.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area on Langerman Drive and Allum Road in the Kensington and Bedfordview area following reports of a shootout.

The Gauteng Provincial JOC Alerts WhatsApp Channel reported about the crime scene on January 8 at around 18:40.

Vision Tactical also reported on X that their members were at a stand-off at a fatal shooting scene in Bedfordview.

They further stated that preliminary information indicates the incident may be linked to a possible hit.

“Investigations are ongoing in coordination with SAPS and relevant role players,” Vision Tactical stated.

The public was advised to avoid the area and allow law enforcement to continue with their investigations into the matter.

The NEWS has contacted the Cleveland SAPS as well as the provincial SAPS and will share more information as soon as it is made available.
