Bedfordview SANRAL workers targeted in armed robbery on Van Buuren Road
Ward 20 Clr Jill Humphreys said armed suspects targeted a SANRAL work site in Bedfordview, leaving workers shaken after a brazen daytime robbery.
Ward 20 Clr Jill Humphreys revealed that the Sanral road resurfacing team were robbed at gunpoint on May 3.
This robbery allegedly took place between 10:00 and 11:00 when a gang of masked gunmen entered their work site on Van Buuren Road.

“Their security guard was kidnapped and removed while they stole a TLB. A case was opened at SAPS,” reported the councillor.
The Bedfordview SAPS were contacted for comment on May 6, and the comments will be shared as soon as they are provided.
