Rand Water leak disrupts water supply in Ekurhuleni areas

Several areas in Ekurhuleni, including Kempton Park, Germiston, Edenvale, Bedfordview, and Thembisa, are currently experiencing water supply interruptions following a leak on a Rand Water pipeline.
According to the City of Ekurhuleni, the leak has resulted in a stoppage of pumping at the Palmiet Booster Station, impacting water distribution across multiple suburbs.
However, no estimated time for full restoration has been provided yet. The City has assured residents that regular updates will be shared via its digital communication platforms.
Affected Areas Include:
- Kempton Park: Kempton Park CBD, Phomolong, Bonaero Park, Brentwood Park, Croydon, and Friendship Town.

Germiston: Dawnview, Fishers Hill, Solheim, Whychwood, Malvern East, Sunnyrock, Homestead, Woodmere, Symhurst, Marlands, Sunnyridge, Gerdview, Germiston CBD, Lambton, Germiston South, Driehook, Elsburg, Dukathole, Makause informal, Delport informal, and Marathon informal.
