Watch: Tiger allegedly spotted in Edenvale

Authorities are searching a veld between Eastleigh Ridge and Greenstone.

A tiger is allegedly roaming the streets of Edenvale. Reports are that the animal was spotted on Cabot Avenue in Eastleigh and Terrace Road earlier this morning.

The search for the animal has since moved to a veld between Eastleigh Ridge and Greenstone.

NSPCA and wildlife authorities are tending to the scene.

A video of the animal spotted at an Edenvale property has been circulated on social media platforms.

The Bedfordview and Edenvale News’ news editor, Stephan Lehman, is on scene.

Edenvale CPF has circulated a message stating that residents are requested to not engage with the animal.

Residents are advised to keep pets indoors.
