Annual onesie walk and run held to support Edenvale SPCA

Community embarked on a fun walk in support of the Edenvale SPCA.

On July 22, the Rand Road Warriors hosted their annual Winter Onesie Run/Walk.

Participants donned their cosy onesies and pyjamas, braving the cold weather in support of the Edenvale SPCA.
Entry required donations of animal food or any animal items.

Sharon Holton, the treasurer of Rand Road Warriors, expressed her gratitude to the club members, acknowledging their unwavering support for the cause.

“It was a lot of fun and members did an enjoyable stroll.“After the walk, we all had hot chocolate, coffee, tea, doughnuts, rusks and Rand Road Warrior Onesie gingerbread people.

“We are most grateful to our running club members who always go out of their way to support us,” she said.

The club conducts training sessions from Tuesday to Sunday, at the Karaglen Virgin Active (parking lot) from 16:50.

And cater for all types of runners in Edenvale.

“We place a large focus on giving back to the Edenvale community, family and running,” she added.

They are based at the Edenvale Bowling Club.
