Little Eden receives R192 000 during the annual fundraiser

Described as a resounding success, the Southern African Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (SAVRALA) held a golf day for Little Eden Society.

The annual event, which shines a light on charitable causes, was recently held at the Glendower Country Club.

A cheque of R192 425.41 was handed over to Little Eden.

“Our golf day has evolved into a tradition of giving back to society,” said the managing director of SAVRALA, Sandile Ntseoane.

“Year after year, we select a deserving charity and encourage our members to rally behind that particular cause.”

Ntseoane underlined the impact Little Eden has on the lives of its residents.

“During my visits, I witnessed the unwavering professionalism and dedication of the NPO’s staff, from caregivers to senior management.

“It became abundantly clear that every contribution we make will be directed towards a profound and meaningful purpose,” he stated.

Ntseoane said besides raising funds, the golf day was filled with camaraderie which defined the event.

“In the wake of the challenges posed by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s event was characterised by a spirit of unity and warmth.

“Our members and the dedicated staff of Little Eden engaged in heartfelt interactions, creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere.”

Ntseoane highlighted that SAVRALA, like Little Eden, champions social responsibility and a profound commitment to giving back to the community.

He said the annual golf day was a reflection of their dedication to supporting causes that make a genuine difference.

Being part of SAVRALA for 10 years, Ntseoane a Sandton resident, expressed a deep personal connection between his values and the work of Little Eden.

“I can’t help but draw parallels between the compassion of our founders and the remarkable work being accomplished here. Our involvement feels like an extension of our faith and unwavering commitment to fostering positive change,” he said.

On November 2, Little Eden will host its very own fundraising golf day at Modderfontein Golf Course.

Community members, golfers, and businesses are encouraged to get involved and participate.

The registered NPO Little Eden has provided lifelong care to children and adults with profound intellectual disabilities for the past 56 years.

With two facilities – one in Edenvale and the other in Bapsfontein – the organisation offers support services that are focused on the individual needs of each child and adult in their care.
