Local schools battle it out for top spot in rowing

Local and neighbouring schools descended at St Andrew's School for Girls to compete in the indoor regatta.

Various schools took part in the St Andrew’s School for Girls Indoor Regatta competition on September 16.

Schools that participated included St Mary’s Waverley, St Stithians Girls College, St Dunstan’s College, Assumption Convent School, Germiston High School, Parktown Boys High School, Jeppe Boys High School, St Stithians Boys College, St Benedict’s College, King Edward VII School, St John’s College, Soweto Rowing Club, Victoria Lake Rowing Club and the hosts.

Three clubs, namely Wemmer Pan Rowing Club, Old Eds Boat Club and Ravens Rowing Club were also in attendance.

The results were as follows:

Individuals

Junior women U14 – St Marys Waverley.

Junior women U15 – St Dunstan’s College.

Rowers enjoy a sporting day at St Andrew’s.

Junior women U16 – St Stithians Girls College.
