Colourful celebrations experienced at Ron Smith Care Centre

Residents and staff were dressed in traditional dress or flowery spring outfits.

The community of Rand Aid’s Ron Smith Care Centre gathered outdoors in their numbers to celebrate Heritage Month and spring.

The garden and recreational area were awash with the vibrant colours of flags from around the globe to represent all residents’ heritages.

Residents and staff were dressed in traditional dress or flowery spring outfits.

Resident Ada Lieberman dances with one of the Rodeo Girls, Christine Deetlefs.

The women were offered a flower crown to wear, while the men were given a SA flag headband.

Live music inspired residents and staff to dance and sway to the lively beat while the staff proudly showcased their cultural dances.

Enjoying the Heritage Day celebrations are Drienie Horlacher, Carol Murphy and Ria Milburn. Seen at the back are Grace Dibia, Beauty Buthelezi and Tracy Sibisi.
