Christmas fun lined up at Little Eden

“This event will be an excellent opportunity to meet the residents.”

Community members are invited to travel with Little Eden Society’s residents on a magic carpet ride through 100 years of fantasy at their annual Christmas concerts.

Family members are invited to join Little Eden residents ushering in the Christmas spirit.

Set to be held on November 24 and 25, the concerts will be hosted at Elvira Rota Village in Bapsfontein.

They will start at 10:00.

Entrance is free.

Gaahele Mokgoro, Little Eden’s public relations and communications coordinator said the Christmas concert is an anticipated highlight at the NPO.

She said residents prepare for months, showcasing the new skills they have learned and developed throughout the year.

Friends and benefactors of the society travel from near and far to be part of the performances and the residents eagerly anticipate the applause and encouragement from the audience.

This year, the concert theme is 100 Years of Disney, which features characters from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical, The Lion King and The Jungle Book.

Gaahele said these characters will culminate with a classic nativity scene to embrace the true spirit of Christmas.

The stage is set for this year’s Christmas concerts and Little Eden invites the community to celebrate the magic of Disney with the NPO and its residents.

“The Christmas concert practices also serve as an integral part of the stimulation therapy programme.

“Particularly the singing and dancing segments, which are thoroughly enjoyed by residents,” said Gaahele.

She said by attending this event, visitors not only celebrate the festive season but also contribute to the development of the residents.
