Little Eden’s fundraising lifeline reopens

“The support received from our community has been instrumental in enabling us to provide lifelong care to those who need it the most.”

The NPO Little Eden Society’s charity shops reopened after a brief closure during the December holidays.

The society is dedicated to providing lifelong care to 300 children and adults living with profound intellectual disabilities.

The society relies on the residents to support the charity shops for funding. The shops generate 6% of the NPO’s funding.

The CEO of Little Eden, Xelda Rohrbeck, explained that the society initially had two charity shops. One was in Edenvale, and the other was in Klopperpark.

Rohrbeck said that this was mostly made possible by the generosity of the society’s donors and the surrounding community.

“The reopening of Little Eden Society’s charity shops marked a significant milestone for us for the year.

“The support received from our community has been instrumental in enabling us to provide lifelong care to those who need it the most,” said Rohrbeck.

The NPO extended its gratitude to its donors for their continued support.

“We invite supporters to continue donating their preloved items to the shops,” said Rohrbeck.

She encouraged community members to keep Little Eden Society in mind whenever they have items to donate because it greatly assists the organisation all year.
