Search operation conducted at Elandspark School
The Bedfordview SAPS said they have experienced challenges with learners bringing drugs to schools to sell or use.
The Bedfordview SAPS partnered with various stakeholders to conduct a school search at Elandspark School on February 21.
The EMPD K9 and SAPS K9 units, Department of Education, Department of Community Safety and Crime Prevention Wardens joined the local police.

They prioritised classes identified as problematic to promote a safer learning environment.

As part of monitoring and evaluating a safer school, law enforcement agencies confiscated vapes, boxes of matches and gun lighters and booked them in the Sap13.
Learners found with prohibited items on school premises will face disciplinary action.
