Families gather for a fun day at Thembalami Care Centre

Freedom Day was all about families at Rand Aid’s Thembalami Care Centre and the Max Ordman Deaf Association (MODA).

The care centre holds family gatherings in its serene gardens (weather permitting) every second month.

The April 27 gathering was blessed with warm weather.

Chicken burgers, cooldrinks, tea and cake were sold and the centre’s occupational therapy department and library set up tables to sell hand-made items and excess books.
