Annual charity event hosted for children of Little Eden

Hell Razors MCC held their annual charity event Razor Aid for the children of Little Eden on May 2.

The event took place at the Little Eden Bapsfontein home and saw the club treat children and staff with sweet treats.

The items handed over to Little Eden included food such as pasta, rice, cereals, vegetables, toiletries and cleaning supplies.

Little Eden is a re-gistered NPO providing life-long care to 300 children and adults with profound intellectual disabilities in two custom-designed residential facilities.

They have the Domitilla and Danny Hyams Home in Edenvale, and the Elvira Rota Village, in Bapsfontein.

Many of the residents have an average age of 27 years old but intellectually, they are around one year old.

Carers help to feed, carry, change and bathe them. Many of the other residents can care for themselves in the way of feeding themselves, brushing their teeth, dressing and using the toilet.

The event took place at the Little Eden Bapsfontein home and saw the club treat children and staff with sweet treats.

Hell Razors thanked Paratus Telecommunications (PTY) Ltd, Premier Foods, Ntombi cleaning supplies and services and the Gamtoos Ladies craft group and friends for their assistance in gathering donations for the drive.

“We would also like to thank Paolo and Melanie from Little Eden for helping us make this day a reality and a joyous one for the Bapsfontien residents,” said Madelein Little from -the Hell Razors.

“We would also like to thank every Hell Razor for the contributions made towards fundrai-sing to fulfil Little Eden’s wish list,” she added.
