CoE hosts youth for IT innovation competition

The CoE has prizes for young information technology innovators and will hold a three-day competition.

The CoE will host about 100 young and enthusiastic information technology (IT) innovators for a competition at the Alberton Civic Centre from July 19 to 21.

The competition’s theme is to offer cutting-edge technical solutions for an inclusive and sustainable city.

The competition will split into these categories: artificial intelligence applied to enhance public administration or local services, enhancement of the city’s bursary administration programme and innovative development for the city’s online booking solution.

Registration and candidate arrival begins at 16:00, with the formalities starting at 18:00 daily.

Participants stand a chance to win laptops and other prizes.
