Members of a running club collect donations for Edenvale SPCA
The club has hosted this event for close to 10 years.
Pyjama-clad members of Rand Road Warriors running club hit the streets of Edenvale in support of Edenvale SPCA.
Held on July 20 the club’s annual Winter Onesie run or walk collected donations, from all participants, for the needy animals.
Club member Sharon Holton said the entrance fee was a donation to the SPCA. A collection of pet food, toys, blankets and treats were donated after the run.

The club has hosted this event for close to 10 years.
Holton said the route of the Winter Onesie run was the same 4km route used by the club for its time trial.
She said one of the reasons the SPCA was selected as a beneficiary was because the running club wanted to give back during winter.
“It is much colder and by hosting this event and giving back, it is our way of helping the SPCA and the animals under their care,” said Holton.
Edenvale SPCA thanked the running club for its donation.
It thanked the club for continually supporting the SPCA and thinking of its animals.
