Dickie Fritz Moth pays tribute to fallen soldiers

The Moths support veterans, particularly through subsidised housing.

Dickie Fritz Moth Ex-servicemen’s Cottage Association hosted its annual fete, fun day and a parade to honour those who lost their lives during WW II and to reflect on the sacrifices made by the South African soldiers.

The event held on November 2 at the Dickie Fritz Shellhole aimed to raise funds to run and maintain the cottages and to support cottage residents.

Eventgoers enjoyed a variety of stalls, witnessed the parade, as well as live entertainment.

Long-time member of the Moth, Gus Mason, said: “I am here to remind people of the fallen, and to help raise funds for the work we do.”
