The children also had an opportunity to explore the SOS vehicles while learning essential safety tips.

Next, Dale Gower from Jerico Training and Fire Industries engaged the Meerkats with an interactive session on fire safety.

The children learned about different types of fires, how to extinguish them safely, and what to do in case of an emergency.

The highlight of the evening was a practical demonstration which allowed the children to each have a turn at extinguishing a fire under expert guidance.

The Meerkats, a new division of the scouting movement, cater to children aged five to seven bridging the gap before Cubs (ages seven to 11) and Scouts (ages 11 to 18).
