Ron Smith Centre hosts a flower party

Ron Smith Care Centre’s recreation team hosted a delightful flower-arranging party, bringing joy and creativity to residents.

Held on January 17 at RSCC’s recreation centre, the party got creative juices flowing.

It featured a vibrant assortment of flowers and greenery, with florist Lauri Kruger on hand to assist the residents.

“Residents and staff had a wonderful time working with the brightly coloured flowers and delighted in creating something beautiful from nature,” said Debbie Christen, the care centre’s recreational and training services facilitator.

She said the activity evoked fond memories for many residents of gardening in years past, reconnecting them with the joy of tending to their plants and flowers.

After the arrangements were completed, the stunning floral creations adorned the tables, adding charm to the space.

Residents and staff enjoyed tea paired with iced chocolate cupcakes, rounding out the day with sweet treats and good company.

Reflecting on the event, Lauri said it was wonderful to see the joy on everyone’s faces and how the flowers brightened their day.
