Edenvale SAPS and NPO donate sanitary products to Dowerglen High

Edenvale SAPS and a local NPO teamed up to donate sanitary products to Dowerglen High, supporting female learners’ well-being and marking Child Protection Week with care and community spirit.

Edenvale SAPS, in collaboration with the NPO You Are Not Alone Women and Family Centre, recently donated sanitary products to Dowerglen High School in a joint initiative aimed at supporting the well-being of female learners.

According to Edenvale Police Station’s communications officer, Warrant Officer Jacob Mashile, the donation, which included sanitary towels and sanitizer, was handed over to the school on May 22.

Mashile said the school’s deputy principal welcomed the contribution.

“The sanitary towels will assist female scholars during times of need, and this project will be ongoing,” said Mashile.

Edenvale’s Vispol commander Lieutenant Colonel Shadrack Magcuntsu commended the partnership, highlighting its importance during Child Protection Week.

He urged SAPS members to continue supporting similar campaigns and initiatives.
