Better Edenvale calls on residents to help clean up Denver Park
Better Edenvale is inviting Edenvale residents to roll up their sleeves for a community cleanup at Denver Park on June 21 at 08:00.
Community improvement nonprofit organisation (NPO) Better Edenvale has invited community members to join forces for a cleanup at Denver Park on June 21.
Denver Park is located at the bottom of the Avenues, between First Avenue and Sixth Avenue in Edenvale.
All residents, business owners, and property owners are encouraged to participate. The cleanup will begin at 08:00.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Better Edenvale chairperson Mark Verhoogt said, “Denver Park has become a hotspot for vagrancy and crime, but together, we can restore it.
“Having pride in our public spaces and being able to safely use and enjoy green areas like Denver Park is vital. It ensures a prosperous future for our town, supports the growth and success of local businesses, helps maintain and increase property values, and promotes the health and wellbeing of our community.”
Better Edenvale is collaborating with other local NPOs, security companies, the EMPD, and SAPS to support and assist with the cleanup.

Volunteers are asked to bring: Gloves; rubbish bags; a bucket (for collecting glass); a rake; a hand spade; a hat; and sunscreen.
For those unable to attend, Better Edenvale encourages donations to support the initiative.
