Quondam men’s lunch fosters connection and well-being

In a spirit of connection and Father’s Day cheer, Quondam men launched a monthly lunch for laughter, support and social well-being

In the spirit of connection and camaraderie – and to celebrate Father’s Day – residents of the Quondam Retirement Village launched a monthly gentlemen’s lunch.

These gatherings offer more than just a shared meal; they provide an opportunity for social connection, which research has shown is beneficial for mental and physical well-being.

The lunch creates a relaxed space for men to share stories, enjoy a laugh and support one another, something that can make a real difference, especially in later years.

The initiative is entirely resident-driven, and the response to the first gathering was overwhelmingly positive.

The next lunch is on July 2, and with plans to meet monthly, the group encourages more men in the village to join them.
