Thrilling clashes mark day two of FNB U16 and U18 Girls Rugby Week

Fixtures: teams brave chilly conditions to deliver fierce competition and showcase rising rugby talent across age groups on Day 2 of 2025 FNB U16 and U18 Girls Rugby Week

Day two of the 2025 FNB U16 and U18 Girls Rugby Week delivered intense on-field action at Queens High School in Johannesburg on Tuesday, July 2.

The Under-16 games set the tone for the day, with Free State taking on Golden Lions Invitational and Border Country Districts (CD) battling Zimbabwe.

The Lions edged Free State 10-5 in a tightly contested match, while Border CD sealed a narrow 17-14 win over Zimbabwe in a dramatic finish.

The U18 matches continued the momentum, with Griquas locking horns with Limpopo Blue Bulls and KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) facing Border.

Despite the biting winter breeze, the players showed grit and skill, thrilling spectators with their determination and passion for the game.
