Blood donors urged to support SANBS at Saheti School drive

The blood bank currently has just over three days’ supply, and all donors are encouraged to participate in the upcoming blood drive at Saheti School.

All suitable blood types are invited to donate blood at a drive, which will take place on January 22.

The 148th blood drive by the Hellenic Radio SA in support of the South African National Blood Service will start from 15:00 to 18:00 at Saheti School.

Clinic co-ordinator and volunteer at the Hellenic Radio SA, Maria Dzerefos, said, “To ensure a consistent and reliable blood supply for patients, our goal is to maintain a five-day stock, particularly for blood groups O and B.
