Easter drive aims to unite Edenvale community
Little Wish Foundation is collecting Easter eggs to spread joy among children ahead of the April 4 drive.
In an effort to unite the Edenvale community, Little Wish Foundation NPC will be hosting an Easter drive.
As such, the registered PBO is calling on the community for assistance to help make the drive a success.
Peter Rex, one of the founders of Little Wish, explained that the drive will be the foundation’s first major project in Edenvale for the year.
“As a foundation, we have been very active in the South; however, we want to do a lot more in Edenvale this year,” said Peter.

Peter said that, besides spreading joy and Easter cheer through town, inspiration for the drive stemmed from the idea to build community spirit in Edenvale.
In Peter’s opinion, community spirit is something which is lacking in Edenvale.
“As a foundation, we want to bring the community together,” he said.
“When people come together with compassion and understanding, we create stronger, more caring communities for everyone.”
He said the drive is for every child, no matter who they are or where they come from,
“Every child deserves to feel included, valued, and to experience a little bit of joy this Easter.”
Peter said that since the foundation started collecting Easter eggs for the drive, there have been some donations. He is hoping to collect a minimum of 100 boxes of Easter eggs.
He said so far Easters eggs have been received from Elphin Lodge, Remax Dazzle, Saheti School and residents in Dunvegan.
“We have 10 boxes so far, another 15 boxes should be donated soon, and 40 boxes have been pledged,” said Peter.
Peter said the plan is that every child along the route will receive an Easter egg.
“This drive is not about differences; it’s about coming together as one community and sharing a moment of happiness with the children around us.
“If we can create smiles, laughter, and a sense of togetherness, then we have achieved exactly what this drive was meant for.

Peter said it would be ideal if the foundation could collect 100 boxes or more.
If this is the case, then the Easter cheer will also be extended to adults.
Peter said that if there are any Easter eggs remaining after the drive, they will be distributed among the surrounding communities.
Easter eggs can be dropped off at 104 Terrace Road between 08:00 and 15:00.
The last day they can be dropped off is on March 27.
The drive will be held on April 4.
