Thornhill Manor residents support Edenvale Hospice with essential supplies

The chapel committee at Thornhill Manor Retirement Village contributed over R4 000 worth of essential cleaning and incontinence support products to Edenvale Care Centre Hospice, helping improve comfort and dignity for patients.

Thornhill Manor Retirement Village Chapel Committee recently donated essential cleaning products and incontinence support products to Edenvale Care Centre Hospice.

The chapel congregation donated money and essential supplies worth R4 100.

“Cleaning products help maintain a hygienic, comfortable environment for patients, while incontinence support products are essential in providing dignified personal care for individuals who are immobile or nearing the end of life,” said Karen Griessel, Thornhill Manor’s social worker.

Hospice care centre focuses on providing holistic, person-centred support to individuals living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses.

Rather than concentrating on curing disease, hospice teams prioritise comfort, symptom management and quality of life.
