Massive night market merger draws hundreds to Emperors Palace

From handcrafted goods to street food in the gourmet zone, the weekend offered a unique retail and dining experience for residents of Benoni, Alberton, and beyond.

Hundreds of families, food lovers, and retail enthusiasts descended on Emperors Palace for two nights of market activity as the Benoni Night Market and Alberton Food Fest merged with the Emperors Palace Night Market.

Among the attendees who sampled some of the refreshments in the gourmet street food zone in the undercover parkade across from the Red Roman Shed were Thembisa siblings Gugu, Ceey, and Khanyi Jokia. For those interested in handcrafted goods and boutique finds, the Red Shed.
