The N12 eastbound at the Gilloolys Interchange was temporarily closed on April 9 after a truck lost its load.

According to the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD), clean-up operations took several hours to clear the roadway and make it safe for motorists.

Motorists were urged to avoid the route where possible.
