Kerry-Anne Allerston, organiser of the event, explained that the family-friendly event aims to create a space where community members can relax and enjoy themselves.

“Nowadays, people are dealing with so many different things; life can be so stressful. Sometimes, people need a break.”

Kerry-Anne said that by hosting a community festival, she hopes attendees will have a chance to relax and enjoy themselves.

“I hope that the day is all about fun, family, being silly and letting your inner monster hang out.”

Besides bringing the community together, the festival is also meant to uplift the community.

Kerry-Anne said Marshall Music has donated a guitar, which will be signed by the performing artists and auctioned off on the day of the festival to raise money for local charities in the area.

“All proceeds from the auction will be used to uplift the community explained Kerry-Anne.

“The way I see it is that if we can afford to party and have a good day, then we can afford to help those who need it most.”

Held at Edenvale’s German Club, the festival will be set in a picturesque garden, aiming to attract community members from far and wide.

Market vendors will be available on the day, along with a children’s zone.

Hang Out Fest 3 will be held on April 25 at the Edenvale German Club.
