Bedfordview band Indie Dog releases new single Roadtrip Season
"It feels good to have the song released, a lot of effort went into its production,"
Bedfordview-based band Indie Dog has released their latest single, Roadtrip Season.
The four-piece indie rock band consists of Sebastian “Seb” Howarth (lead vocals), Steve Greyvenstein (lead guitarist), Dylan “Yak” Anceriz (bass guitarist) and Dylan de Wet (drummer).
“It feels good to have the song released; a lot of effort went into its production,” said Seb.

Although the song is a new release, Seb explained that it technically isn’t new to the band.
Seb elaborated, saying he had raised the idea of the song several years ago.
“I brought a demo forward a while ago, but we always had other projects on the go.
When the idea of creating the song was most recently brought forth, the band sank their teeth into it.
“We worked on the song together and had a great time producing and creating the music video,” said Seb.
For the band, Roadtrip Season represents escapism and a way to get away from the rush of life.
“Music is the way that we express ourselves,” explained Steve.
“Artists have paintings or drawings, and as musicians, we have our music.”
According to Seb, the band is well on track to release several singles and an extended play.
“We have written new music that we just need to process and distil it into what we want.”

He said the band has about five tracks which are close to release.
Towards the end of last year, Indie Dog was planning a tour to Mexico; however, that was put on hold when political tension in the country rose.
Although the tour has been put on hold, Seb said the band has been receiving a lot of radio play in Portugal, Germany, Spain and France.
In light of this, the band is considering doing a European tour towards the end of the year.
Upcoming shows and venues that the Indie Dog will be performing at include:
• Rumours: April 27.
• Emperors Palace’s Banyard: April 28.
• The Picnic Club: May 2.
• Misty Waters: May 13.
• Cape Town: May 14 – May 16.
The band thanked their fans.
“Thank you for all of the support. Please keep on listening to us,” said Seb.
“Tell your friends about us and see you at the next show.”
