Experienced Edenvale nurse takes on new role at Inyoni Creek
Noeleen Wilson has joined Inyoni Creek as village sister, bringing 40 years of nursing experience and a passion for supporting older residents.
A nurse with 40 years’ experience has joined Inyoni Creek as the new village sister.
Edenvale resident Noeleen Wilson started her new position earlier this year, bringing a lifetime of knowledge to the role.
She said one simple golden rule for well-being is to “try to laugh at something every day”.
Wilson encourages older adults to stay as active as possible, to continue learning new things, and to keep their brains engaged.

She has experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors.
Wilson trained at a government hospital and worked in private hospitals, doctors’ consulting rooms, pharmacy clinics and other retirement villages.
Her strengths include patience and cultural sensitivity, and she understands the effects ageing has on the body.
She believes this helps her foster empathy and understanding in her interactions with residents.
“The village is peaceful and the residents and staff are friendly and helpful,” Wilson said.

Wilson has been married for 34 years and enjoys needlework, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking.
She has a married son, and the family enjoys game evenings as well as attending live performances together.
“My life philosophy is to maintain a balance between work and relaxation, to find pleasure in everything you do and to remember to laugh at yourself,” she said.
Wilson took over from Jana Bezuidenhout, who heads up Rand Aid’s supportive services division.
This division offers home-based care to residents.
