Edenvale Care Centre Hospice seeks funds through Golf Day
Established in 2002, the care centre has provided compassionate palliative care to over 1 400 patients.
The golf day, which will help raise essential funds for the care centre, will be held on October 29 at Huddle Park Golf and Recreation in Linksfield.
The event features six holes available for sponsorship, with the campaign aimed at supporting the hospice under the theme “Fill a Heart with Hope.”

A sponsored hole costs R2 000.
Administrator Ronel Barnard said that although it will be a day of fun, the care centre once again finds itself in dire straits.
She said although the care centre has enough funds to pay its staff members until the end of December, it needs more funds to see the care centre into the new year.
She explained that this was one reason the centre decided to host the golf day and appeal to the community for support.

The 13-bed facility provides palliative care services to patients in the terminal stages of cancer, chronic diseases, and HIV/Aids, as well as their families, which include patient care, counselling services, and support.
