Local police facilitate training for scholar patrollers

The campaign was held in conjunction with the Xikukwani crime prevention project, and Ward 92 Clr Kade Guerreiro.

Klopperpark Primary School patrollers received training and education in road safety from the members of the Bedfordview SAPS on May 27 from 09:00 until 14:00.

The campaign was held in conjunction with the Xikukwani crime prevention project, and Ward 92 Clr Kade Guerreiro.

Bedfordview SAPS corporate communications officer, Sergeant Lillian Modiga, said the training was conducted to empower learners.

“The safety campaign is to ensure that learners adhere to road signs and to promote safer schools.

“Empowered patrollers safeguard the learners and help with the flow of traffic,” said Modiga.
