Grandparents enjoy a special reading picnic at St Benedict’s College

St Benedict’s College hosted a special reading picnic to celebrate Grandparents Day, bringing together generations for a morning of stories, laughter and connection.

A reading picnic with lots of goodies was part of the Grandparents Day at St Benedict’s College.

The St Benedict’s grandparents were blessed to enjoy a few hours in July with their grandsons.

Head of marketing, communications and admissions, Mpumi Motsabi, shared that the picnic goodies allowed the boys to tell of all the adventures they get up to with their friends around the school.

Head of junior preparatory at St Benedict’s, Michelle Myburgh, spoke about the value of such initiatives.

“It was important to set aside time for the boys to bring them into their world of school and celebrate them for all they do.”

Motsabi said the grandparents’ smiles told a story of a content group of gogos and mkhulus. Some drove or flew in from out of town to enjoy these priceless moments.
