St Benedict’s College announces 2026 student leaders and captains

The newly appointed leaders and captains at St Benedict’s College have vowed to lead with integrity, humility and dependability.

St Benedict’s College recently announced its college leaders and sports and culture captains for 2026.

Head of marketing, communications and admissions, Mpumi Motsabi, said the selections, made through a democratic process involving both peers and teachers, recognise learners who embody outstanding leadership, integrity, and dedication to the college community.

Commitment to values and brotherhood

“The newly appointed college leaders have earned the trust and respect of learners and staff. In their statement of intent, they pledged to strengthen the brotherhood and sense of belonging, vowing to lead with integrity, humility, and dependability.

“They committed themselves to upholding the highest standards and fostering excellence, remaining true to the college’s enduring values of heart, mind, body, and soul. Their shared goal is to work together for the betterment of all boys,” Motsabi said.

In parallel, the sports and culture captains for 2026 were also announced. These learners have demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm and teamwork in their respective fields.

Motsabi said their appointments are expected to inject energy and passion into the college’s extracurricular life, inspiring greater participation, fostering school spirit, and building a strong sense of unity across the school.
