“Confirmation is the culmination of a three-year faith journey, requiring prayer, preparation, and dedication.

“It marks a significant milestone; a sacrament of maturity and a spiritual ‘coming of age’ through which the candidates draw strength for the years ahead. It also represents their personal decision to follow Jesus Christ with their whole mind, heart, and being,” Motsabi explained.

Father Thabo Mothiba, the St Benedict’s chaplain, was elated to see so many boys take this next bold step. “We commend each candidate for their commitment, faith, and perseverance.”

A total of 45 candidates across grades 10 to 12 (including some siblings) were confirmed for the sacrament.

Mothiba further said, “It has been a time of learning, growth, and discovery, an opportunity to deepen their faith, encounter the word of God, and discern how to live out their calling in today’s world.
