Saheti matriculants celebrate consistent excellence
The school’s Class of 2025 achieved a 100% pass rate, with 233 distinctions.
A delighted Saheti School in Senderwood shared another year of exceptional learners’ achievements, with the school’s head of marketing and admissions, Nicola Palma, sharing the official rankings from the Independent Examinations Board (IEB).
“Several of our learners were recognised within the top 1% of candidates nationally, and our Dux scholar and runner-up feature on the Outstanding Achievers and Commendable Achievers list,” Palma revealed.

All 71 Saheti matriculants contributed to maintaining a legacy of academic excellence and an unbroken 100% pass rate record.

The Class of 2025 achieved an impressive spread of distinctions. The Class of 2025 clocked in 233 distinctions (with further studies maths calculated as a total distinction), and 3.3 distinctions per candidate.
Consistent academic rigour saw 24% of the group ranked in the top 1% nationally in several subjects; 92% of the group achieved at least one distinction or more.

Additionally, 30% of the group achieved a distinction average, with some achieving an average of 90% or higher.
Six candidates brought home a full house distinction pass, and an additional 11 attained six distinctions each. Some 46% of the group sat for the Modern Greek exam as an eighth subject.
The top achievers:
• Maria Lazanakis – IEB outstanding achiever: ranked in the top 1% for English, attained nine distinctions, seven of which were 90% or higher. Her average was 90%;
• Chrisovalandis Coundouris – IEB commendable achiever: ranked in the top 1% for English and life orientation, earned nine distinctions, eight of which are 90% and above. He achieved a 92% average;
• Eleni Kruger: ranked in the top 1% for life orientation, attained a full house of eight distinctions with a distinction average of 89%;
• Anthea Boutselis: ranked in the top 1% for English, attained a full house of nine distinctions, with a distinction average of 87%;
• Daniel Tsoukalas: ranked in the top 1% for life orientation, attained a full house of seven distinctions and an average of 87%;
• Katerina Malemas: attained a full house of seven distinctions, with an average of 80%.

Saheti executive head Morag Rees said, “I am proud of our Class of 2025 for achieving excellent results. Their strong work ethic, resilience and commitment to growth will serve them well beyond school. We are immensely proud of the young adults they have become.”
“Behind every distinction stands a committed partnership between teachers, families and disciplined students,” confirmed Dr Daniela Pitt, the dean of matrics.

“These results are a testament to Saheti’s understanding that excellence is not discovered by chance but forged through vision, consistency and care.”
