Edenvale learner leads Holy Rosary matric results with eight distinctions

The Holy Rosary School announced Madeleine Laros as its top Class of 2025 achiever.

An Edenvale resident and a dedicated learner, Madeleine earned the prestigious Dux Scholarum title after attaining eight distinctions.

With an overall average of 89%, her results reflect her mastery across the sciences and languages.

• Life orientation: 93% (highest in the grade);
• Mathematics: 92%;
• Information technology (IT): 91% (joint highest in the grade);
• Physical sciences: 90%;
• Afrikaans: 88% (joint highest in the grade);
• Life sciences: 86%;
• Further studies mathematics: 85%;
• English: 83%.

A true all-rounder

Beyond her academic prowess, Madeleine was a pillar of the school community. As the deputy leader of outreach, she demonstrated a commitment to service, balancing leadership duties with the demands of her studies.

Known as an all-rounder, her journey at the school was defined by consistent excellence and a proactive approach.

Future aspirations

Madeleine will study actuarial science at the University of Pretoria (Tuks), with her success in maths and IT a formidable foundation for this career.
