St Andrew’s School for Girls celebrates 124th birthday in a ceremony rich in tradition and spirit titled Founders’ Day.

St Andrew’s School for Girls marked its 124th birthday with a meaningful and heartfelt Founders’ Day ceremony.
The occasion was held on January 23.

According to the school marketer Brandon Townsend, it honoured the vision and dedication of those who laid the foundations of this remarkable school, while also celebrating and blessing those who continue to guide, nurture, and strengthen St Andrew’s for generations to come.

He said the ceremony was rich in tradition and spirit, beginning with the lighting of the Founders’ Day candle.

Enjoyable performances by the learners, staff choirs and the learners’ marimba bands added to the celebration.

“We were grateful to welcome Father Fritz Hank from St Margaret’s Anglican Church, whose thoughtful and inspiring message reminded us of the values, faith, and sense of community that lie at the heart of St Andrew’s,” shared Townsend.

The St Andrew’s School 124th birthday celebration begins with prayer.

He added that the celebration concluded with the cutting of the birthday cake, which was a joyful moment shared as a school community. Townsend said, “It was a day filled with gratitude, celebration, and love, honouring our past while looking forward with hope and purpose.”
