NOTIFICATION OF BASIC ASSESSMENT: PROPOSED EXPANSION OF FUEL STORAGE TANKS AT ASTRON ENERGY LEMON TREE, ALBERTON, GAUTENG Notice is hereby given of an application for Environmental Authorisation for the proposed expansion of fuel storage infrastructure at Astron Energy Lemon Tree, Alberton, Gauteng.
Proposed Activities: The project includes the installation of 3 new 46,000L underground storage tanks and associated underground piping.
Project Location: Astron Energy Lemon Tree Shopping Centre, corner of Ascot Road and Lincoln Avenue, Newmarket Park, Alberton, Gauteng. Approximate coordinates: 2616`55.15` S, 2807`26.27` E.
Environmental Authorisation Requirements:
The project requires environmental authorisation in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 under Listing notice 1, activity 51 for the expansion of the fuel storage facility by more than 80m3.
