Reader supports windscreen washers

EDITOR – With reference to your article in the Joburg East Express of May 26, 2015.

I drive through the Alum and Albertina Sisulu Road intersection every evening between 7pm and 9pm.

I am an elderly lady and at no time have I ever felt threatened. If I indicate that I do not want my windscreen washed, they immediately back off. At times, I give them some small change, which I keep at hand. These guys are only trying to make a living. Give them a break!

Also, I have not seen any smash-and-grabs, so I agree with Thabo and Kenneth.

Do the police not have enough real crime to concentrate on?
